In may 2001, ELECTRA S.A. started the construction of an underground parking garage and the addition of 45 new guestrooms to the existing ATHENS ELECTRA PALACE HOTEL. In November of the same year, the old property closed for a complete reconstruction. The underground parking operated in 2002 and on July 17, 2003 the old renovated wing of the hotel has re-opened. By the end of Spring 2004, the company anticipates the opening of the new wing.

THE ATHENS ELECTRA PALACE HOTEL, under its new condition, will have indoor and outdoor swimming pools, gym, sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi, banquet facilities for 300 persons, two restaurants, two bars and guestrooms fully equipped and with wonderful view to the Acropolis.

Since 1999, THE RHODES ELECTRA PALACE HOTEL, has been undergoing major renovations, All rooms are now fully refurbished and the hotel's surroundings have a completely new look with the impressive swimming pool area covering almost 1.000 sp. M. There are several places for different kind of activities and during this season a new restaurant will be added to the property's facilities. During the following winter, the renovations will be concluded with the redecoration of the lobby areas.

During this coming winter, THE ATHENS ELECTRA HOTEL will be renovated, especially the public areas, in order to present a completely new look during the Olympic Games of 2004.
